People Of Santiago
One of the best guitar bands to come out of the North East in a very long while book into blast to record their forthcoming single.
People Of Santiago are a 5 piece band and a very very good 5 piece band at that! They have had national radio airplay from the likes of Steve Lamaq on his "in new music we trust" show and also from Jo Whilley and Huw Stephens. This band are going places make no bones about that.
So with that said, we are over the moon they chose blast to record the forthcoming single which is scheduled for national release later this year.
The singles are being produced by Rob Kirwan (U2, Magic Numbers, Depeche Mode, The Fields, Baby Shambles, Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly.) so expect an explosive single from these lads later this year...
Some quotes about the band :
"Swooping, boldly-crafted pop music."
Steve Lamacq
"People Of Santiago are a band with an anthemic sound, a lot to say and they demand your attention."
Drowned in Sound
"Skewed, stadium-sized pop songs"
Manchester Evening News
"This Newcastle-based five-piece boast a vocal range worthy of Kele Okereke and Brett Anderson, while their sound is reminiscent of The Killers, Suede and Muse."
NME
Do yourselves a favour and check the band out at or on their myspace at
We hope to have one of the tunes on our media player at some point... enjoy !!
